- I have been around forests and fields, and using various tools since I was six yrs.old. I had woodshop class in grade school, and always made things at home. After college I began as a carpenter, then interior finishing, then boatbuilding, and furniture making; in the Seattle area. I have worked in Japan since 1995, and have run my own custom furniture business, while occassionally working with craftsmen here.
Long time no write here. I have neglected my blog, and hope to correct that with my slowly improving computer skills. I will try to post my latest thoughts, accomplishments, and photographs here; and hope that it is of interest and benefit to some viewers. Best regards, Russell
